The antic city of Athene designed in a low-poly version.
“All the good things of this world flow into the city because of the greatness of the city.”
Pericles
For this 3D city project, one instruction guided us in our design choices: low poly.
What better school than the low poly, that is to say to realize a 3D model by using the least possible polygon, to discover how to represent the real simply and in the broad lines.
For this project, we had to choose a city to represent, whether it was real or fictional.
At the same time, I discovered the superb Assassin's Creed Odyssey and its incredible scenery of ancient Greece and Athens as well as the port of Piraeus. So we started with the idea of representing Athens, its acropolis and the port of Piraeus in a condensed and very simplified version.
